Care Instructions for Natural Suede Bags
Natural suede is a delicate material with a soft, velvety texture that requires gentle care. Following these recommendations will help maintain the attractive appearance of your bag for longer.
Protection Before Use
Before first use, we recommend treating the bag with a water-repellent protective product specifically designed for natural suede.
The protective treatment can then be repeated approximately every 2–4 weeks, after cleaning, or according to the product manufacturer’s instructions.
Before applying any care product, we recommend testing it on a small, inconspicuous area first.
Daily Care
Avoid prolonged contact with water, damp or dirty surfaces, and cosmetic products.
Store the bag in a dust bag. To help maintain its shape, you may gently fill it with clean, soft paper.
Light-colored suede may absorb dye from dark clothing, especially denim.
Dark or richly colored suede may slightly transfer pigment onto light-colored clothing during the first few uses. This can be a natural characteristic of dyed natural suede.
Cleaning
We recommend removing minor dry dirt as soon as possible using a special suede brush or suede eraser.
If you use a cleaning foam or another product specifically designed for suede, follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
For a more even result, we do not recommend treating only a very small stained area. Whenever possible, clean the entire corresponding section of the bag, as localized cleaning may result in slight differences in shade or texture after drying.
For difficult or persistent stains, we recommend contacting a professional dry cleaner experienced in cleaning natural suede products.
Not Recommended
— washing or fully soaking the bag in water;
— using alcohol, acetone, bleach, harsh detergents, or other products not intended for natural suede;
— rubbing wet suede aggressively;
— drying the bag with a hair dryer, on a radiator, near other strong heat sources, or in direct sunlight.
Natural Characteristics of Suede
Natural suede is a natural material, so individual items may have slight variations in texture, nap direction, or shade.
With regular use, natural changes in the nap and light signs of wear may also occur. These characteristics do not necessarily indicate a defect in the material or the product.
